What's Next

I'm Not Done Yet.

Foxhole Social has come a long way, but there are still plenty of ideas I want to bring to the board. Some are already being worked on. Others are still sitting in the “wouldn't it be cool if...” pile.

Automatic Camera Scoring

Today, Foxhole Social lets you enter each dart right on the touchscreen. The next step is to let cameras do that work for you. We're developing support for camera-based dart tracking that can recognize where a dart lands and automatically enter the throw into the game.

The goal is simple: keep the real dartboard, keep the Foxhole Social games - just make the scoring automatic.

Take On Another Board

Online play will let one Foxhole Social board connect with another, so friends, families and competitors can play together from different locations. Remote throws, scores and game progress will stay synchronized between both boards.

And as automatic camera scoring comes online, the two systems can work together — throw a real dart at your board and have that throw appear automatically in the game on the other side.

More Ways to Compete

Then there's the “wouldn't it be cool if...” pile. Ideas on the roadmap include tournaments, custom and private online lobbies, expanded player statistics and profiles, leaderboards, and more ways to compete and play together.

Not every idea is guaranteed to make it in, and none of these have a promised date. That's part of the fun — Foxhole Social is still growing.
